to become Cross Border Planning
James McEvoy of Cross Border Planning and Brian Dunhill of Dunhill
Financial announced in September that the two companies will merge. Brian
Dunhill is currently president of the American Club of Brussels.
The
two firms, which work with expats of all nationalities, are the two largest
American expat firms in Belgium. The merger has come in order to expand the
niche of financial services for expats. The new company, Cross Border
Planning, will focus on the synergy of the existing services.

Border Planning has been operating in Belgium since 2005 and provides a
coordinated solution for those who have financial affairs in more than one
country. The proximity to the capital of Europe, Brussels Belgium, enables
the firm to deliver timely and personalized service to manage these
challenging cross border issues. They provide investment advice to both US
and non-US citizens and offer services regarding retirement planning and
estate planning.
Dunhill Financial
Dunhill
Financial is a firm of international financial planners who primarily, but
not exclusively, work with English-speaking expatriates. The aim is to
create an environment of trust, discretion and confidence through offering
personalized solutions. Through aggregated planning they are in a position
to help with every aspect of financial planning. Their services range from
short and long-term financial planning to pension planning and
individualized portfolio management.

Financial engages in Fun Friday initiatives for their entire staff, which
will continue in the new venture, and which have brought about the three
endeavors listed below:

A full robo-advisor, OmniWealth.eu, to help clients of all sizes in setting up investment
accounts at low costs. The venture is well known for its short cartoon
clips on youtube explaining financial concepts for American expats.

The Fair Trade Gold project as part of their social responsibility
endeavors. While the product has not yet been launched, the website http://www.fair-trade-gold.org has drawn the attention of the investment
community.
